A Christmas Carol… by Propierge
As 2018 draws to a close, this will be the last blog that we will write and post this year, as no doubt most people will be doing their very best to limit their screen time over the festive period and spend some much needed quality time with friends and family. Last minute arrivals and emergency boiler repairs permitting of course!
As a wrap up of the year, we thought we’d do a little spin on the Christmas Carol story, as 2018 has been quite a year and 2019 is set to be even bigger!
Where do we begin with this? Well we are not going to stick to the “Christmas Carol” theme too strictly for a start. That would be the easiest way to work with the storyline, using a heavy tone warning of the potential dangers to the future of your business of not adapting to change and embracing technology to “future proof” your business. If you are reading this post, you are more than likely on board with this concept already!
Instead, we are going to take a look at the 3 “Christmas Spirits” in reflection of where we were at the beginning of the year before full launch, where Propierge is now and where we will be in 2019. We have some major changes and new products on offer that anyone who does Holiday Rentals will be very interested to hear about!

…Christmas Past”
After 3 years in development, Propierge was soft launched to the market in late 2017 for some initial feedback from our first signups. Building Propierge feature by feature with WCS Bespoke (our Flagship licensee) as the testbed, meant that we had to make a number of changes to speed up and ease the onboarding process and make the product appropriate to a much wider range of Holiday Property Managers, before we could fully launch and roll out this year. Since then, it has been great to see the reaction from our customers from being able to move away from the need for endless spreadsheets and post-it notes in order to keep on top of the day to day running of their Holiday Property Management businesses.

Where are we now? We have been blown away by the feedback from our customers and the Property Managers that we speak with daily. The need for an Operational Holiday Property Management Software solution that helps take care of the properties and activities 12 months of the year, for all types of guests and not just during the holiday/peak times, has been overwhelming. This is in addition to the fantastic response we’ve had from Property Managers at being offered a Holiday Property Management System that has been built by people who actually understand what Holiday Property Managers do and what is required.
The best way to illustrate this is to hear what Pernilla Gavrell from HomeCare Estepona (www.homecaremarbella.com) has to say about Propierge:

As a direct contrast to the original Christmas Carol storyline, our “Christmas Future” is big news and is hugely exciting!
Even though we have been focused on the operational end of the business for the past few years, we cannot ignore the importance of holiday rentals and their bookings and distribution software requirements. We are therefore really excited to be offering these software options with Propierge in the new year. These “Propierge plus” options will include:
- Bookings Management System (BMS)
- Channel Management
- Online Payments (payment links, instant booking on websites)
- Direct Booking Strategy
This means that you can contact Propierge for software solutions for:

- Holiday Rentals Booking & Distribution Management Strategy on its own

In addition, as the people behind the scenes at Propierge are Holiday Property Managers, we understand the challenges involved with running a business with so many costs and overheads to keep on top of. This can sometimes make it feel like everyone else in the chain is taking their slice before you get to see any profit (let alone the Property Owners seeing a return!).
So our pricing models across all products will be flat fees – with no % Commissions on our products!*
